Description
This medication contains paracetamol: an analgesic (relieves pain) and an antipyretic (lowers fever). It is indicated in the event of pain and / or fever such as headache, flu-like symptoms, dental pain, stiffness.

Dosage
The dosage of paracetamol depends on the weight of the child; ages are given for information. If you do not know the child's weight, it should be weighed to give the best dose. The recommended daily dose of paracetamol depends on the child's weight: it is approximately 60 mg / kg / day, to be divided into 4 doses, or approximately 15 mg / kg every 6 hours. Because of the risk of rectal irritation, the administration of suppositories should be as short as possible, should not exceed 4 doses per day and should be replaced as soon as possible by oral treatment. In case of diarrhea, the suppository form is not suitable. This presentation is suitable for adults and children weighing more than 30 kg (from about 10 years old). The dosage is one suppository at 600 mg, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 suppositories per day.
Frequency of administration
Systematic catches prevent oscillations of pain or fever. In children, they should be regularly spaced, including at night, preferably 6 hours, and at least 4 hours. In adults, they must be spaced at least 4 hours apart. In the event of serious kidney disease (severe renal failure), the catches should be spaced at least 8 hours apart.

Interactions

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, EfferalganMed 300 mg suppository can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In rare cases, a rash or redness of the skin or an allergic reaction may occur, which may be manifested by sudden swelling of the face and neck or by suddenly feeling unwell with a drop in blood pressure. You must stop treatment immediately, tell your doctor and never take medicines containing paracetamol again. Exceptionally, biological changes requiring a check of the blood test have been observed: abnormally low level of certain white blood cells or certain blood cells such as platelets which may result in nosebleeds or gums. In this case, consult a doctor. With the suppository form, there is a risk of rectal or anal irritation (see Warnings).
