Indication

Dosage 

Dafalgan 500mg is reserved for adults and children from 13 kg (approximately from 2 years). The dosage of paracetamol depends on the weight of the child; ages are given for information. If you do not know the child's weight, it should be weighed to give the best dose. Paracetamol exists in many dosages, allowing the treatment to be adapted to the weight of each child. The recommended daily dose of paracetamol depends on the weight of the child: it is approximately 60 mg / kg / day, to be divided into 4 or 6 doses, i.e. approximately 15 mg / kg every 6 hours or 10 mg / kg every day. every 4 hours. For children weighing 13 to 20 kg (approximately 2 to 7 years), the dosage is 1 half tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 half tablets per day. For children weighing 21 to 25 kg (approximately 6 to 10 years), the dosage is 1 half tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 half tablets per day. For children weighing 26 to 40 kg (approximately 8 to 13 years old), the dosage is 1 tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours, without exceeding 4 tablets per day. For children weighing 41 to 50 kg (approximately 12 to 15 years), the dosage is 1 tablet per dose, to be renewed if necessary after 4 hours, without exceeding 6 tablets per day. For adults and children weighing more than 50 kg (from about 15 years old), the usual dosage is 1 to 2 tablets of 500 mg per dose depending on the intensity of the pain, to be repeated in if necessary after 4 hours minimum. It is generally not necessary to exceed 3 g of paracetamol per day, or 6 tablets per day. Precautions for use

If the pain persists for more than 5 days or the fever for more than 3 days, or in the event of insufficient efficacy or the occurrence of any other sign, do not continue the treatment without the advice of your doctor. In case of severe liver or kidney disease, it is necessary to consult your doctor before taking paracetamol. In the event of a salt-free or low-salt diet, take into account the presence of sodium in the daily ration: 412.4 mg per tablet.

Contraindications
