Indication Mild sore throat without fever.For adult use only. Directions for Use To be taken orally. Swallowed whole, with water. For adult use only. DosageTake 1 tablet at each main meal, for a total of 3 tablets per day. Precautions for Use Maxilase is also available as a syrup for children. Use with caution if you develop any of the following signs and symptoms: – high and persistent fever (> 38.5 °C, lasts longer than 3 days); or – severe sore throat or headache, nausea, vomiting, earache or ear discharge. If your symptoms persist after 5 days, consult your doctor. Contra-indications Do NOT use if you are allergic to alpha-amylase of any of this medicine's other ingredients. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding:– You are advised not to use this medicine during pregnancy. If you discover that you are pregnant while using this medicine, consult your doctor – only they are qualified to decide whether or not you should continue treatment. –Do NOT use this product while breast-feeding. – As a general rule, if pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any form of medicine.
