Onctose Hydrocortisone Cream for Itches and Stings – 30g Tube

Product Indication For symptomatic treatment of itching, in particular that caused by insect stings.

Directions for Use For dermal application.

Dosage Apply 2 or 3 times a day.

Wash hands thoroughly after use.

Note that excessive application may aggravate itching.

Length of Treatment Do not use for more than 3 days.

Ingredients Per 100g: Hydrocortisone acetate: 0.250 g Lidocaine hydrochloride: 1.00 g Mefenidramium metilsulphate: 2.00 g

Excipients: Cetomacrogol, diethylene glycol stearate, propylene glycol (E1520), purified water

Warnings and Precautions for Use – Itching is nothing more than a symptom.

For treatment to be effective, the cause of the itching must be investigated. If your itching persists or increases, you may be having an allergic reaction to one of this product's ingredients. In the absence of relevant clinical data, the possibility of cutaneous resorption (absorption of this medicine by the skin, and the medicine's subsequent passage into the bloodstream) cannot be ruled out. The amount of cream absorbed by the skin and, by extension, the risk of systemic effects increases if the cream is applied to large area of skin, covered by an occlusive dressing after application, applied to new or damaged (particularly burnt) skin or to mucus membranes, or used on very young children (due to the higher surface-to-weight ratio and the constricting effect of wearing of nappies/diapers).

Warning: If you are a professional sportsperson, note that this product contains an active principle that may be picked up by dope testing. – Do not apply to the area surrounding the eyes. Use caution if applying to your child's face.

Contra-indications Do NOT: use if you are allergic to any of this medicine's ingredients, or to local anaesthetics or antihistamines; apply to weeping or ulcerated cuts, or other broken skin; apply to areas suffering from acne; apply to areas suffering from rosacea; apply to areas suffering from bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic skin infections, even if there is inflammation; or apply to the breasts if breast-feeding, since your baby may swallow it.

Use on children under 30 months.
