Therapeutic Indications: Only to be used by adults. This drug contains magnesium. The following symptoms show a deficiency in magnesium: - nervousness, irritability, light anxiety, temporary tiredness, minor sleeping problems. - anxiety with spasms or palpitations. - muscle cramps, pins & needles. Taking magnesium can improve these symptoms. If symptoms do not improve after one month of treatment, it is not recommended to continue with treatment. Contraindications: Do not take UVIMAG drinkable solution: - allergy to one of the ingredients (notably parabens). - if you are suffering from kidney disease. This drug should not be used (except with doctors advice) if you are on treatment containing quinidines. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Cautions: This drug contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E219)and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E217), and can cause allergic reactions. This drug contains saccharose. This drug is not recommended for patients with a sugar intolerance (rare hereditary illness). Precautions for use: There are other adapted doses for children. In case of renal insufficiency, be careful when taking this as it can be dangerous taking too much magnesium. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Interaction with other drugs: Inform your doctor if you take: - quinidine - calcium - tetracyclines (anti-biotics). Pregnancy and breast feeding: Pregnancy: This drug can only be used during pregnancy following advice from your doctor. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. Breast feeding: This drug is not recommended whilst breast-feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Dosage: ONLY TO BE TAKEN BY ADULTS. 2-3 vials per day spread out over 2-3 times during meals. How to use: Orally. Dilute vials in some water. Length of treatment: Do not take this for more than one month without seeing your doctor: if symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: A magnesium overdose tends to not cause toxic reactions. Magnesium intoxication can sometimes cause renal insufficiency. Side effects: Like all medication, this drug can cause side effects, but will not arise for everyone. Diarrhoea, abdominal pain, skin reactions, allergic reactions. Composition: Active ingredients: Magnesium glycerophosphate acid: 1.895 g Pyridoxine hydrochloride: 0.040 g Per 10 ml vial The magnesium strength is 125mg (5.13mmol) per vial. Other ingredients: Saccharose, grape juice natural flavouring, soda methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E219), soda propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E217), purified water.
