Product Description Recommended for mild sleeping problems, irritability and anxiety. How to Use For oral use. Dissolve tablet in a half-glass of water. Dosage Suitable for adults and children weighing more than 30 kg. For adults: take 1 or 2 effervescent tablets per day. For children over 30 kg: take 1 tablet per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Ingredients Per tablet: Active ingredient: Calcium bromolactobionate*: 2 g * of which bromine – 301 mg (or 3.77 millimoles) and calcium – 150.7 mg (or 3.77 millimoles) Other ingredients: Sucrose, sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, polyethylene glycol 4000 Packaging This medicine is produced as an effervescent tablet and is sold in packs of 20 or 60. Warnings – You are advised not to drink alcohol during the period you are using this medicine. Contains sodium (241 mg per tablet). Exercise caution if you are trying to limit your sodium intake. Contains sucrose (2.86 g per tablet). Exercise caution if you are diabetic or on a low-sugar diet. May interfere with the level of chloride in the blood. If neuropsychological disorder (see section "Side effects" below), skin rash or itching occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Contains sucrose (sometimes called "saccharose"). Do not use if you are sucrose-intolerant (this is a rare hereditary disorder). Do NOT: – take if you are suffering from teenage acne; – give to babies less than 30 months old; – give to undernourished or dehydrated elderly people; – take if you have hypercalcaemia (i.e. the calcium levels in your blood are too high); – take in case of calciferous lithiasis (formation of calcium calculi, or stones) in the body; – take if you have hypercalciuria (i.e. the calcium levels in your urine are too high); – take in case of calcification (hardening of calcium deposits) of the kidneys; – take if you suffer from chronic glomerular nethropathy (kidney disease); – take if you are fructose-intolerant, suffer from glucose or sucrose malabsorption, or have a sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (medicine contains sucrose). Using with other medicines If you are currently taking, or have recently taken other medicines (including non-prescription medicines), consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to use. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding: – do not take unless recommended by your doctor. If you discover that you are pregnant after starting treatment, consult your doctor as a matter of urgency – only they are properly qualified to modify your treatment to suit your needs. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using any form of medicine. Possible side effects As with all medicines, Calcibronat tablets can have one or more undesirable effects on the body. Some people are more resistant than others. Possible side effects include: – daytime drowsiness, irritability, disorientation, confusion or hallucinations (more common in elderly users, or if high doses are taken); – loss of appetite or constipation; and – skin problems, such as rashes or itching (very rare). If you exceed the recommended dose: – seek urgent medical advice.
