Product Description Contains a local anaesthetic (lidocaine hydrochloride) and two local antiseptics (amylmetacresol and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol). StrepsilSpray can be used to relieve mild and feverless sore throat, mouth ulcers (aphthae) and small mouth sores. Suitable for ages 12 and over. Directions for Use For oral spray administration. DosageSuitable for ages 12 and over. – Children 12 to 15 years: 2 bursts, administered 1 to 4 times a day. – Adults: 2 bursts, administered 1 to 6 times a day. Leave at least 2 hours between doses. Length of TreatmentDo not use for more than 5 days. Ingredients Per 100ml:Active Ingredients: Amylmetacresol – 0.223 g 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl alcohol – 0.446 g Lidocaine – 0.600 g Other Ingredients: Alcohol, citric acid monohydrate, glycerol, non-crystallisable sorbitol (70%), saccharin, levomenthol, peppermint flavour, aniseed flavour, Azorubine, sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid, purified water Precautions for Use Do not use on the eyes, nose or ears. If using for sore throat: If you develop a fever, start to cough up purulent sputum, or experience difficulty swallowing; or if your condition persists or worsens after 5 days – consult your doctor. If using for mouth ulcers or cuts: If the injury is extensive or grows, or you develop a fever – consult your doctor. Since this product contains alcohol, consult your doctor prior to use if you are pregnant or epileptic, or suffer from liver disease. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
