ODM 5 eye drops are preservative free. They work by hyperosmolarity.
Corneal edema is a condition characterized by an accumulation of fluid in the cornea. This transparent part of the eye swells and becomes opaque, causing a decrease in visual acuity. The person affected by a corneal edema has the impression that a fog obstructing the sight. She may fear light (photophobia) and feel pain. The causes of corneal edema are many and varied: trauma, keratitis, endothelial corneal dystrophy of Fuchs, surgical intervention at the level of the eye, for example the treatment of cataracts or refractive surgery... The cells responsible for pumping fluids outside the cornea malfunction, resulting in accumulation of fluids in the cornea and edema. It is also formulated with sodium hyaluronate, which will help the healing of the cornea and protect it. Thus, ODM 5 reduces edema and improves the comfort of sight of people suffering from this situation.
Advice of use:
Ocular pathway.
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Slightly pull the lower eyelid and then instill into the lower conjunctival sac 1-2 drops 4 times a day into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye, 4 times a day, as recommended by the doctor, looking upwards .
Once the drops have been instilled, keep your eye closed for 1 to 2 minutes.
Avoid contact of the tip of the bottle with the eyelids or the eye.
Do not rinse.
Not compatible with contact lenses.
Keeps 3 months after opening.
If the doctor has prescribed another eye drop, observe a minimum interval of 15 minutes between the instillation of these eye drops and that of the other eye drop.
