Indication This medication is treatment for certain skin and mucous membrane (mycosis) infections from microscopic fungus (thrush, dermatophyte, pityriasis versicolor). How to take this drug For local use only. Dosage Regularly apply the cream onto the areas to be treated once per day for the recommended amount of time instructed by your doctor. Practical advice: - Thrush: use a neutral pH or alkaline soap. - Certain hygiene advice needs to be followed (wearing cotton pants, avoid vaginal showers...) and avoid factors that will increase in the infection. Do not stop treatment during periods. Composition Active Ingredient: Fenticonazole nitrate: 2.000 g Quantity of fenticonazole base: 1.757 g Per 100g of cream. Other ingredients: Propyleneglycol, hydrogenous lanolin, almond oil, polyglycolic esters of fatty acids, cetylic alcohol, glycerol monostearate, sodium edetate (E385), purified water. Format This medication is in the form of the cream; 15g or 30g tube. Precautions for use Avoid contact with eyes. Inform your doctor if you have had previous allergies to imidazole. This drug contains lanolin and can cause local skin reactions (for example: eczema). This drug contains cetostearyl alcohol and can cause local skin reactions (for example: eczema). This medication contains propyleneglycol and can cause skin irritations. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Special warnings Prolonged use can lead to reactions or irritation. If these reactions appear, treatment must be stopped. Contraindications Do not use LOMEXIN 2% cream in the following case: - allergy to one of the ingredients. Interactions with other drugs Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take or have recently taken any other drug, including any non-prescription drugs. Pregnancy and breast feeding It is not recommended to use this drug during pregnancy. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued.
