Therapeutic Indications This medication is for adults with digestion problems such as bloating; or as a rehydration supplement and/or for dietetic measures in symptomatic treatment for diarrhoea. It is in the form of a capsule in a box of 30. Special warnings In case of diarrhoea, consult your doctor in the following cases: - no improvement after 2 days of treatment, - appearance of fever or vomiting, - blood or phlegm in faeces, - severe thirst and dry tongue. These signs are the beginning of dehydration; excess loss of liquid due to diarrhoea. Your doctor will prescribe a rehydration medication which you can take orally or intravenously. Precautions for use - in case of bloating and farting, avoid dry vegetables lentils, flageolets, peas...) as well as some green vegetables (cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, chard...). - in case of diarrhoea it is important to: * rehydrate yourself with drinks, savoury or sweet to compensate for the loss of liquid from diarrhoea (normal amount of water for adults per day is 2 litres). * eat food. Avoid some foods such as crudities, fruit, green vegetables, spicy dishes as well as cold drinks and food. Rice and grilled meat is good. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Interactions with other drugs This medication can reduce the absorption of other medication which needs to be taken at different times (at least 2 hours apart). TO AVOID INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS YOU MUST CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST IF GOING THROUGH OTHER TREATMENT. Pregnancy and breast feeding It is not recommended to use this drug during pregnancy. If you discover that you’re pregnant during the treatment, consult your doctor who is the only person who can judge whether the drug should be continued. During pregnancy and breast feeding it is always recommended to consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any type of drug. Dosage and how to use Only to be used by adults. Orally. 3 capsules per day. Orally. Swallow capsules with a glass of water outside of mealtimes. Instructions in case of overdose High doses of Carbolevure can lead to light constipation. The treatment is symptomatic. IF IN DOUBT CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST. Composition of the drug For one capsule: Active dehydrated yeast containing at least 108 cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae per gram: 108.5 mg Active charcoal: 109.0 mg Other components: Polyvidone K30, colloidal silica. Composition of capsule coating: - head: black iron oxide, titanium dioxide, gelatine. - body: erthrosine, red iron oxide, titanium dioxide, gelatine. Storage conditions Keep out of reach and view from children. Do not exceed the expiry date indicated on the outer packaging. Store in a place below 30°C.
