Precautions for use

The administration of liquid paraffin in young children, debilitated, lying down or having difficulty swallowing should be cautious because of the risk of bronchial inhalation and lipoid pneumonitis. This medicine contains an azo coloring agent (cochineal red A, E124) and may cause allergic reactions. This medicine contains sucrose. Its use is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase / isomaltase deficiency. This medication contains 2.3 g of sucrose per single-dose container (i.e. 9 Kcal / single-dose) which must be taken into account in the daily ration in the event of a low-sugar diet or diabetes.

Contraindications

Never take the doses of Lansoyl Framboise in case of: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Do not use in case of intestinal obstruction and abdominal pain of unknown aetiology. Do not use in people with swallowing difficulties due to the risk of bronchial inhalation and lipoid pneumonia.

Pregnancy and breast feeding

There are no reliable data on teratogenesis in animals. In the clinic, there are currently no sufficiently relevant data to assess a possible malformative or foetotoxic effect of paraffin oil when it is administered during pregnancy. Paraffin oil is not absorbed but interferes with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) which could have neonatal consequences (potential bleeding, ...) Consequently, as a precautionary measure, it is best not to use this medicine during pregnancy. And frequently used in maternity to prevent constipation in women who have just given birth, even when the mother is breastfeeding
