Indication This medication is treatment for dry eyes. How to take this drug Local use. EYE USE. Follow these important steps: 1. Wash your hands well before using the eye drops. 2. Avoid contact with the eyes and eyelids with the nozzle to avoid any risk of contamination. 3. Pull the lower eyelid down slightly, looking up. 4. Drop the solution into the infected eye. 5. Close the bottle. Dosage and how to use Adults (including elderly): 1 drop 4 times per day or depending on the prescription. Apply the solution when eye discomforts appear (dryness, burning, itching). Composition Active Ingredient: Povidone: 20g Per 100ml of solution. Other ingredients: Boric acid, sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium hydroxide, benzalkonium chloride, water. Format This drug is in the form of a solution for eye drops. Box of 30 single-doses. Precautions of use and warning Be careful when using NUTRIVISC 5% eye drop solution: - do no inject or swallow this medication - wash your hands before use - do not touch your eye with the nozzle of the bottle to avoid any risk of contamination - close bottle well after use. - this medication contains benzalkonium chloride (preservative) which can lead to irritations in the eyes. - If symptoms persist consult your doctor. - Wait 15 minutes in between other eye drop treatments. NUTRIVISC should always be applied last. Contact Lenses This medication contains benzalkonium chloride which can change the colour of the lenses (hydrophile type). Avoid contact with the contact lenses: take them out then wait at least 30 minutes before putting them back in after treatment. Interactions with other drugs Do not use NUTRIVISC eye drop solution: · if you are allergic to povidone or one of the components contained in the drug. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: Nutrivisc can be taken during pregnancy unless necessary. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Breast feeding: Nutrivisc can be taken during breast-feeding unless necessary. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Side effects Like all drugs NUTRIVISC 5% solution can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone). Following side effects can appear: Eye infections Feeling of burning, eyelids sticking together, blurred vision. Immune system problems Irritations, allergic reaction to solution. If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Instructions in case of overdose Not applicable. Storage conditions Store in a place below 25°C. After opening: use within 4 weeks.
