Botany specifications
The Mandravasarotra an endemic tree from Madagascar. It is an aromatic bush with a light-coloured bark. Its leaves are always green and translucent when they are yellow. Better known for its local name Saro, its Madagascan name means “who overcomes difficulties”.
Use
Ambient setting: on its own or in a mixture by regular low heat evaporation.
Atmospheric diffusion: not recommended
Dermal application: diluting, 5-35% in vegetable oil.
Orally: only with medical advice. In general, 1-2 drops 3 times per day in a little bit of vegetable oil.
Inhalation: not recommended
Practical advice
Internal use: 2 drops of essential oil in honey, olive oil or on a sugar cube put under the tongue. 3 times per day for respiratory, urinary, mouth and gynaecological infections.
External use: 3 drops of the essential oil on the forehead 3-4 times per day for all sinusitis and rhinitis problems. 8 drops onto the thorax 6 times per day for flu and respiratory symptoms.
