Botany specifications
The difference with the eucalyptus is that it has two types of leaves: round on the younger branches and lanced and full of essence on the older branches. The radiata essential oil gives off a less pungent scent than the eucalyptus globulus.
Use
Diffusion +++, Bath +, Massage ++, Orally +
Ambient setting: on its own or in a mixture by regular low heat evaporation.
Atmospheric diffusion: in a mixture of other essential oils from a diffuser by spraying.
Dermal application: diluting, 5-15% (maximum 30%) in vegetable oil.
Orally: only with medical advice. 1 drop per day.
Dry inhalation: 1 drop on a tissue.
Practical advice
Respiratory well-being : Diffusion: it is recommended to combine the eucalyptus radiata essential oil with the bitter orange and lemon ones. Dermal application: mix with tea-tree EO and then dilute it in macadamia vegetable oil. Massage onto the chest during the flu period.
During the period of winter contagions : Put an equal number of drops of eucalyptus radiata and super lavandin into a diffuser and diffuse for 5-10 minter per hour. Extra precaution: taking a plant extract such as echinacea helps reinforce our natural defences (2 capsules per day).
Contraindication
Not recommended for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 12 years of age. Risk of skin irritation. Not recommended for individuals that suffer from asthma.
