Therapeutic Indications: Anti-septic treatment for superficial eye infections. Contraindications: Do not use MONOSEPT 0.25% eye drop solution in the following case: - allergic to anti-septics. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ADVISABLE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Cautions: If abnormal symptoms appear (redness and/or pain in the eye), consult your doctor. Precautions for use: Use this medication with precaution: - do not touch the eye with nozzle - avoid using these eye drops if you wear contact lenses (risk of local intolerance) - follow the guidelines and do not prolong treatment from 15 days - the dose should be thrown away immediately and not re-used - wait 15 minutes in between different eye drop treatments. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Interaction with other drugs: TO AVOID INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS, notably anti-septics, YOU MUST CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST IF GOING THROUGH OTHER TREATMENT. Wait 15 minutes in between different eye drop treatments. Avoid wearing contact lenses. Pregnancy and breast feeding: This can be taken during pregnancy as well as during breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Driving and use of machinery: Brief blurred vision after using these eye drops. Wait until vision is back to normal before driving or using machinery. Dosage: 1 drop, 3-4 times per day. How to use: Local use. EYE USE. 1 eye drop in each eye whilst looking up and pulling the lower eyelid down. For each single-dose, follow these steps: - for the first use open the packet and take off the protective envelope. - tear off the uni dose of the plate by grasping the uni dose to be detached in one hand and the plate in the other hand, - to open the uni dose, take one end in each hand and vigorously rotate in order to break the weld, - reverse the uni dose in order to lower the contents towards the open end, pour the eye drops into the eye or eyes to be treated, pressing down on the uni dose. Always use a new single-dose for every application. Frequency of dose: 3-4 drops per day. Length of treatment: 7 days on average. Do not continue with treatment after 15 days. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: Rinse with a sterile physiological serum. Side effects: Like all drugs, MONOSEPT 0.25% eye drops can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone): - local intolerance reaction If abnormal symptoms appear such as redness and/or pain in the eyes, stop treatment and consult your doctor. If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Composition: Active Ingredient: Cethexonium bromide: 0.1 mg Per unidose of 0.4 ml. Other ingredients: Sodium chloride, water.
