Indications of Endotélon Endotélon 150mg is a veinotonic (increase the tone effect for the vein walls) and a vasculo-protector (increases small blood vessel resistance). Endotélon 150mg is treatment for poor circulation (heavy legs, pains, restless leg syndrome). It is also treatment for arm lymphatic edema (infiltration of lymph in the support tissue of the arm) after radio surgical treatment of a breast tumour, in addition to physical treatments such as elastic restraints. 1. Therapeutic Indications - Treatment for veino-lymphatic insufficiency: (Heavy legs, pains, restless leg syndrome). - Treatment for lymphedema after radio surgical treatment for breast cancer: In addition to physical methods and especially the elastic support textile; Used alone, for patients who can not benefit from the physical treatment which is the primary treatment of lymphedema. 4.2. Dosage and how to use - Treatment for veino-lymphatic insufficiency: 2 tablets per day, morning and evening (maximum 20 days per month). - Lymphedema: 2 tablets per day, morning and evening (continuous treatment). - Take tablets outside of meal times. 4.3. Contraindications: This medication should not be taken if you are hypersensitive to oligomers procyanidolicx or one of its components. This medication is not recommended whilst breast-feeding (see section 4.6) 4.4. Special warnings and side effects Special warnings: This drug contains saccharose. This medication is not recommended for patients with a fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase/isomaltase deficiency. 4.5. Interactions with other drugs Not applicable. 4.6. Pregnancy and breast feeding Pregnancy: Studies in animals have not shown a teratogen effect. In the absence of a teratogenic effect in animals, a malformative effect on the human species is not expected. To date the substances responsible for malformations in the human species have been shown to be teratogenic in animals during well-conducted studies on two species. In clinical studies there are no particular malformative or fetotoxic effects appeared to date. However monitoring pregnancies exposed to this drug is not enough to rule out any risk. Given the data, the use of this medication is not recommended during pregnancy unless necessary. Breast feeding: Due to the lack of data of whether it passes into human milk it is not recommended to take this medication whlst breast-feeding. 4.7. Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery Not applicable. 4.8. Side effects - Allergic reactions Rare cases have been reported: urticaria, outbreak, itching, photosensitivity, eczema. These effects disappear once the treatment has finished. Very rare cases of angioedema. - Rare stomach intestinal reactions: stomach pains, nausea, diarrhoea. - Headaches (rare). 4.9. Overdose No evidence to this day. 5. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES 5.1. Pharmaco-dynamic properties VASCULO-PROTECTOR/MEDICATION FOR CAPILLARIES. (C05CX: cardiovascular system). Vasculo-protector, veinotonic. It increases vessel resistance and decreases their permeability. In vitro studies have shown that procyanidolic oligomers preserve fibrous proteins, in particular collagen and elastin, from enzymatic degradation, and have a protective effect on the thermal denaturation of collagen. The effect of ENDOTHELON 150 mg on the vascular walls demonstrated in animals and confirmed in humans, results in: - an increase in the peripheral and conjunctival capillary resistance (Lavollay capillarodynamometer, Parrot angiosterometer) demonstrated by patients with vascular fragility. - a decrease in capillary permeability (tests with histamine, Landis test and isotopic Landis test). 5.2.
