Therapeutic Indications Vogalib metopimazine orodispersible tablets can be used for short-term treatment of nausea and vomiting (without fever). Suitable for adults and children over 6 years. Directions for Use To be taken orally. Vogalib metopimazine tablets can be: – melted on the tongue (break-up is almost instant; do not chew); or – dissolved in half a glass of water (break-up is instant). DosageAdults:Take 1 orodispersible tablet at the onset of symptoms. If symptoms persist or return, treatment may be continued to a maximum of 4 tablets (= 30 mg of metopimazine) per day. Children over 6 years:Take 1 orodispersible tablet at the onset of symptoms. If symptoms persist or return, treatment may be continued to a maximum of 2 tablets (= 15 mg of metopimazine) per day. Length of TreatmentDo not take for more than 2 days unless recommended by your doctor. Precautions for Use – Avoid alcohol while using this medicine. – If your nausea and/or vomiting persists for more than 2 days, this medicine is ineffective, or other symptoms develop, discontinue treatment unless your doctor or pharmacist recommends otherwise. Contra-indications Do NOT use if you suffer from: – glaucoma (increased fluid pressure in the eye); – difficulty passing urine due to prostate problems; or – phenylketonuria (PKU; a hereditary disorder diagnosed at birth) – this medicine contains aspartame.
