Indications for Apaisyl Corticoid Cream Cortapaisyl cream is suitable for adults and children over 6 years old for the following cases: - hornet bites - insect bites - local sun burns How to take this drug How to use Apply a thin layer then gently massage in until fully absorbed. Wash hands after use. Dosage Apply the cream twice per day, morning and evening. Length of treatment Duration is capped at 3 days. Composition of Cortapaisyl What does CORTAPAISYL 0.5% cream contain? The active substance (per 100g): Hydro-cortisone base: 0.500 g Under the form of hydro-cortisone acetate: 0.558 g Other ingredients Sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, synthetic whale white, cetyl stearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 219), sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 217), imidurate, anhydrous citric acid, purified water. Format This drug is in the form of a cream.15 g tube. Precautions for use Cortapaisyl contains a corticoid; comply with mode of use. Increasing the amount of cream and/or the number of applications does not improve the activity or the speed of action but instead could cause side effects. - Does not treat large areas, - Do not cover the area with a dressing (occlusive dressing) as this could lead to the active ingredients passing into the blood. - Do not apply other dermatological products onto the treated area. - Do not use more than twice per day. - Do not exceed the recommended length of treatment (3 days). If symptoms persist after 3 days of treatment, consult your doctor. In the case of: - local intolerance, - Irritation, skin secondary infection, Stop treatment and immediately consult your doctor: Contraindications Never use CORTAPAISYL 0.5% cream: - if you are allergic to hydro-cortisone or one of the other components in the formula, on cuts, - on acne, - on rosacea, - on infected skin where the origin was bacterial (impetigo...), viral (herpes, shingles, chickenpox), fungal (due to microscopic fungus) or parasitic. If in doubt, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist. Pregnancy and breast feeding If needed, this medication can be used during pregnancy. It is possible to breast feed your child during this treatment. Do not apply onto breast when breast-feeding due to the risk of the newborn ingesting the product.
