Indication This drug is an antacid. It reduces stomach acid. This
drug is for stomach and oesophagus pains, burning or heartburn. How to take this drug: Dosage This drug must be taken at the time of pain or according to the prescription from your doctor, in general 1-2 sachets each time. Orally. Ingredients of the drug Active Ingredient: 20% Colloidal aluminium phosphate gel.............................................................................. 12.38g Per sachet Other ingredients: Calcium sulphate dihydrate, pectin, agar-agar 800, orange flavouring*, 70%potassium sorbate, non-crystallisable sorbitol syrup, purified water. *Ingredients in the orange flavouring: Bitter orange alcoholates, bitter orange alcohol, sweet orange essential oils, bigarade orange essential oils, ethyl alcohol. Form: This drug is a drinkable solution in a 20g sachet; box of 26 sachets. Precautions for use: The antacids can decrease the effect of several other drugs. You must tell your doctor or pharmacist of any other treatment. For precaution purposes it is not recommended to take other medication at the same time as the antacid. Any other medication should be taken at a different time (for example 2 hours before). KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. IF IN DOUBT DO NOT HESITATE TO CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST FOR ADVICE. Special warnings:s This drug is not recommended for patients with a fructose intolerance (rare hereditary illness). Due to the presence of sorbitol, this drug can cause light digestion problems (diarrhoea). Calorie value: 2.6kg/g of sorbitol. If symptoms do not disappear after 7 days, consult your doctor. If pains are linked with fever and vomiting, consult your doctor immediately. Contraindications: You must never take PHOSPHALUGEL drinkable solution in the following cases: · If you are allergic (very sensitive) to the aluminium phosphate or one of its components contained in Phosphalugel. · Severe kidney problems Pregnancy and breast feeding: This drug should be used with precaution during pregnancy and breast feeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any drugs. Side effects: Like all drugs PHOSPHAGUEL drinkable solution can cause side effects (this will not affect everyone): · constipation If you notice side effects that are not mentioned here, or if certain side effects become more severe, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Symptoms and instructions in case of overdose: Excessive dosage can lead to constipation and even bowel obstruction. The effects of an overdose are more worrying for patients with kidney impairments.
